Third Millennium Faith is an organization that exists to encourage and equip Christians for vibrant ministy and faithful witness in the 21st century.
We recognize that the beginning of the third millennium since the birth of Christ is an important time in history. While the Church's faith never changes, the world is changing at a fantastic rate. Christians face a new set of challenges to the claim that the Church is a witness to a Truth that is the hope of the world.
- Developments in technology present new ethical challenges to faith.
- A lack of agreement in our culture about moral norms creates divisive confusion in American Christianity.
- A growing antagonism toward religion in general and Christianity in particular among certain intellectuals.
- And the consumerism of our age is often an impediment in the Church's efforts to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
There is no need to redefine the Christian faith or "re-imagine" the nature of God in this new context. Rather, the key to spiritual vitality for Christians in the third millennium is to rediscover orthodox Christian faith as it is revealed in the scriptures and expressed in the ancient ecumenical creeds. This faith is more than intellectual. Real faith captures the whole of our lives.
